2025 Recap: Cyrus Literary Productions!

It has been an honour to work with each and every one of you!

Two years in business! How the time has flown by!

2025 has been quite the year for Cyrus, and I am thrilled to share the data and memories with you:

Projects

  • 12 months of bookings

That’s right! We were booked every month of 2025! Even when I closed queries from August to September for a health break, I still had work to do. It has been an honour to work with each and every one of you!

  • 11 sample edits requested

The sample pages sent to me this year were FIRE! As your editor or not, you will have an avid and paying reader for life, trust.

  • 9 queries for hire

Unfortunately, I cannot always take on everyone, but that doesn’t mean I’m leaving you in the dark. Any and all writers I passed on, I then connected them with a fellow editor I trust to handle their vision with care. You took the time to reach out to me, it’s the least I can do to ensure that time is well spent. This courtesy practice will continue into 2026.

  • 3 accepted (big project) clients

I am honoured to have worked with M.K Rylynn, Eden Chesters, and Keirsten Robertson this past year. I highly recommend you follow their literary journeys, because big things are coming!

    Where you can find them:

    M.K

    Eden

    Kris

  • 7 rounds of edits

The 2nd round is always my favourite.

  • 2 projects continuing into 2026

And… there will be many more rounds of editing to come. 2 of these projects are coming with us into 2026, and I cannot wait to continue working with these amazing authors.

  • 1 book published

That’s right, our June client, M.K Rylynn, self-published their edited work, Time Bomb’s Dream! This story was so much fun to work with! This YA superhero novel will capture your hearts and wallets!

    Story Synopsis:

A boy who thinks he’s the villain.
A girl who might be worse.
They were built for destruction, not attachment.

Preston Peters and Thomas O’Connor are of the few to adopt OutKasts, a generation of children wielding unimaginable power, yet they couldn’t be more different. Preston trains his children as weapons for battle, their existence viewed as abominable mistakes. Thomas raises his as family, teaching them to strengthen their powers for themselves.

When one of Thomas’ daughters returns from a mission, collapsing, screaming of an unknown assailant keen on ripping their families apart, the fate of the world is forced upon two of the most unlikely of friends: cold, calculating Nicholas Peters, and warm, trusting Ophelia O’Connor.

As the OutKast teens dig through their fathers’ pasts and search within themselves for the identity behind this mysterious villainess, their hope for autonomy battles against the shame and cruelty of their pasts.

Can two OutKast households bear the truth of their existences? Or will they succumb to their differences, surrendering to the narrative demanded of them since birth?

    My Review:

“I wish I had access to a book like Time Bomb’s Dream when I was younger! Thankfully, the youth of today will! Fans of Marissa Meyer’s Renegades will love these overpowered yet overwhelmed teenagers, as they embark on a journey of self-acceptance and haunted pasts, before it’s ultimately too late. A beautifully devastating delve into the fantasticality of the teenage mind, this superhero story left me quite emotional for an action subgenre, and I loved every moment of it.”

You can read Time Bomb’s Dream by M.K Rylynn on Amazon and at Barnes & Noble now!

Designs

  • 2 logo redesigns

    Remember the OG 2024 design?

Well, she underwent two transformations this year. From this:

To this:

Our newest is my favourite. The sun has always been a big symbol with Cyrus, as the name itself is an homage to my birth name, Soleil, meaning Sun in French. Cyrus also means Sun, the name coming from Old Persian and Old Greek roots. With a brighter appearance, focusing on the bubbly orange over the timid red, and more simple design, I am ready to take on 2026!

Community

  • 5 substack blog posts

I discovered Substack this year, and I’ve loved having a method to share my thoughts, both outside of editing and on editing. My newsletters were previously delivered through Brevo, but this year we made the permanent switch to Substack. Expect many more posts before the end of 2025! I’ve been busy writing!

  • 4 community event invitations

I worked with the Indie Author Revolution multiple times this year, invited to showcase my business during their Indie Author Spotlight Lives on Tik Tok, and offering a free first chapter edit in one of their Live Contests. The IAR was how M.K Rylynn found me, and I am eternally grateful to have been connected with her.

That’s a warp!

Client testimonials of M.K Rylynn, Keirsten Robertson, and Eden Chesters are all accessible on my website. Availability for the new year is open, so follow that link and email me for a sample edit, if interested! I can’t wait to work with you all!

Happy Holidays, and remember: StoryTELL, Not StorySELL!
